This online session will support Christian leaders to prepare for St George’s Day 2026 in the wake of last years flag events and community tensions. By digging into teachings on patriotism, love and neighbourliness in the Christian tradition we will explore ways in which we can frame St George’s Day as generous and welcoming to all. The session will focus on wisdom from a wide range of Christian thinkers such as Aquinas and Bob Ekblad as well as offering a few practical ways to take a proactive approach to St George’s Day in your community. This session is being hosted by Candied Appeal CIC a Community Interest Company working to support the good of people and planet. The session will be led by Dr Lindsey Hall and will include a wide range of input and resources.
