  • Identity, patriotism and Loving our Neighbour

    Friday 24th April

The focus of this retreat day, the day after St George’s Day, is what it means to have a national identity and a Christian identity. Each retreat day runs from 10am - 3pm at St Chad’s Church Hall, Gifford’s Croft, Lichfield, WS13 7HD. There is parking available at the Hall. If you are coming by public transport it is a 20 minute walk from Lichfield City Station. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included.

  • Grant me the serenity ...

    Friday 29th May

Each retreat day runs from 10am - 3pm at St Chad’s Church Hall, Gifford’s Croft, Lichfield, WS13 7HD. There is parking available at the Hall. If you are coming by public transport it is a 20 minute walk from Lichfield City Station. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included.

He’s got the Whole World in His Hands

Friday 18th September

In the season of creation tide this retreat day is offered to those who look to the Christian faith for a response to the challenges of the environment. The climate crisis can be overwhelming and scary, but throughout the day we will explore some of the resources from our tradition which help us to reconnect with creation as gift, our role as stewards of the earth, and God’s care for all that God has made. Focusing on God the Creator will be our starting point for thinking about ways to live lightly and faithfully on the earth.

In a manger meanly; preparing for a Gentle Christmas

Monday 23rd November

Revisiting the storzy of Jesus’ birth. this retreat day invites participants to prepare for a simple Christmas which is gentle on the planet and ourselves. Looking at alternative ways to symbolise and celebrate the world changing significance of God becoming flesh, we will consider letting go of some of the trappings of Christmas which are costly to creation, pockets, and even goodwill to refocus on the great gift of Good News.
