During this day we will explore our call to social justice and some of the ways in which we might choose to inhabit a more just, kinder, fairer version of this world.
“But let justice roll down like a river and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” Amos 5:24
The river of justice is dammed. How can we play our part in freeing the waters of justice from the blockages of greed, hatred, corruption, exclusion, meanness and scarcity? During this day we will explore our own authentic responses to the injustices of the world and some of the routes to peace offered in the Christian tradition. We will find ways to hold out the light of peace in our small corners and be refreshed by the Scriptures which invite us to live in the peaceable kingdom.
Each retreat day runs from 10am - 3pm at St Chad’s Church Hall, Gifford’s Croft, Lichfield, WS13 7HD. There is parking available at the Hall. If you are coming by public transport it is a 20 minute walk from Lichfield City Station. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included.
